I heard people drumming and dancing. The dancing very peaceful and one of a kind.the drummind sounded like this.Bace bace tone tone tone tone. The other one sounded like this.Bace slap bace slap tone tone tone tone. They helped me find Giniea on a map of the world. My favorite song was kuku and mucrw. In mucrw there was a dance circle and everybody was dancing, but i was not because I did not want to.We had bell's and shacker's that we could do than drum.I had a very, very, very, very grate time.Who came to our school was mr.Gregery and hamidou.

I had a great time. I learned about Guni and West Africa. I love the drum pattern that went like this slap base tone tone and I got really good at it. I really liked the dance circle for the Macru dancers me and my friend Maxley Wright did a hand shake then did our own thing. I really loved coming in to meet with Mr. Gregory and Mr.Hamidu they teached me so much and I owe it all to them. I liked the rythem in the song ku ku which has nothing to do with clocks,ku ku birds,or cocoa puffs it is a song about celabration. I really liked the dancing Mr.Hamidu taught me. The dance move I liked the best was a move for Macru it was move number 2 it is when you put your leg and hand out at the same time and you move your hands up and down for six counts. My favorite moves for ku ku is number 1 and number 5 number 1 is where you pretend like you are walking if you have your right hand you do your left foot if you do your left hand you do your right foot and number 5 is when you do three claps left then you do three claps right then you do 4 steps forward while clapping then 3 claps to the right three claps to the left then take 4 steps backward while clapping. It was a fun experience.

I enjoyed this expirence! Africa is very interesting. My favorite thing was dancing and singing. Drumming, dancing, and singing is a big part of Africa. Also, about 60 years ago the french took over Africa and evry one had to speak their languig. It was a horrible time for them. But then, the afracans took their land back. And now some information about the drumms........ The top of the drumm is made out of goat skin. And when you hear one of the songs you just want to get up, dance and sing. The songs that we learned are called kuku, macrew, and toto. Toto is the welcoming song. Kuku is usualy sung when you celabrete. Macrew is a joke and it is asking you to dance. So, as you can see i had a great time. ! ! ! !
